Overview
To improve dust management performance across critical processing infrastructure, Linkforce delivered a design and construct dust mitigation project at Rio Tinto's Yandicoogina operation. The project incorporated new dust collection systems, ducting, civil works, electrical infrastructure and associated upgrades across multiple plant areas. Through early involvement in design and engineering, Linkforce developed innovative solutions that improved maintainability, reduced construction requirements and enabled approximately 80% of the works to be completed while the plant remained operational.

Outcome
Linkforce successfully delivered the design, installation and commissioning of new dust collection infrastructure, including dust collectors, ducting, extraction systems and associated civil and electrical works. Through the reuse of existing foundations, innovative equipment design improvements and the completion of most works within a live operating environment, the project improved dust management performance, enhanced equipment maintainability and reduced construction costs while minimising operational disruption.
