Overview

To improve reliability and reduce downtime within Rio Tinto's primary crushing circuit, Linkforce delivered critical rock breaker upgrades across the Brockman 4 operation. The project involved the replacement and completion of multiple rock breaker installations, together with structural, hydraulic, electrical and remote operation upgrades across the PC1 and PC2 crushing areas. Executed across four major shutdowns and more than 105,000 work hours, the works enhanced the performance and functionality of critical ore processing infrastructure.

Outcome 

Linkforce successfully delivered the replacement and commissioning of multiple rock breaker systems, including hydraulic power units, structural modifications, CCTV upgrades, remote operation infrastructure and associated electrical systems. Completed across four major shutdown campaigns, the project improved the reliability, safety and maintainability of critical primary crushing assets, reducing downtime risk and supporting long-term operational performance at Brockman 4.
