Overview

Linkforce delivered corrosion remediation and protective coatings works within the RL447.750 level of the Cloudbreak Scrubbing Building, preparing critical structural steelwork for planned remediation activities. Executed within a live processing environment, the project involved abrasive blasting, encapsulation and coating application across corrosion-affected areas while maintaining plant operations. Extensive planning and close coordination with operational teams enabled the works to progress safely despite challenging environmental conditions and ongoing water ingress.

Service Delivery Area

  • Protective Coatings & Structural Integrity

  • Precision Maintenance

  • Transport & Logistics

Value Added

  • Experienced project team with strong structural integrity and protective coatings expertise

  • Rapid mobilisation within 30 days of project award to support critical remediation requirements

  • Close collaboration with operational personnel to identify suitable coating windows and minimise contamination risks

  • Extensive encapsulation systems that enabled safe abrasive blasting and coating application within a live operating plant

  • Integrated delivery supported by Linkforce personnel, equipment and asset networks

  • Certified management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards

Outcome

Linkforce successfully completed 135m² of abrasive blasting and protective coating works across corrosion-affected structural steel, representing approximately 90% of the planned scope. Supported by extensive encapsulation systems, NACE Level 2 inspection and comprehensive QA/QC reporting, the works improved the condition of critical structural assets and prepared the area for future remediation activities. Despite ongoing water ingress and operational constraints, the project was delivered with no impact to production while maintaining coating quality and asset protection requirements.
