Overview
When Tropical Cyclone Zeila disrupted Fortescue's largest planned shutdown at Iron Bridge, Linkforce rapidly mobilised additional resources to maintain progress across critical maintenance and upgrade activities. Executed over 47,131 work hours, the shutdown combined mechanical, electrical, crushing, structural and precision maintenance scopes across multiple operational areas.

Outcome
Linkforce successfully delivered Fortescue's largest shutdown to date, completing a broad range of critical maintenance and upgrade works across the Iron Bridge operation. The scope included HPGR roll change-outs, stacker pulley and drive motor replacements, tail pulley replacements, pump overhauls, HIG mill shell repairs, chute refurbishment works, conveyor skirt replacements, dust mitigation upgrades and electrical infrastructure improvements. Despite extreme weather conditions, cyclone-related disruptions and significant scope growth, the project was completed safely and efficiently through the deployment of 267 personnel and more than 47,000 work hours, maintaining operational readiness and minimising overall shutdown impacts.
