Overview

To address significant seepage issues caused by a deteriorated pond liner, Linkforce delivered the replacement of a critical containment pond at Genesis Minerals' Mount Morgan operation. What began as a repair assessment evolved into a full liner replacement after inspection identified extensive deterioration. Despite challenging groundwater conditions and severe weather impacts, Linkforce delivered a durable, compliant solution that restored the long-term integrity of the asset.

Outcome 

Linkforce successfully removed and replaced the existing pond liner, completed pond structure repairs, installed new bidem and liner materials to AS/NZ standards, and reinstated site infrastructure. Through effective management of groundwater ingress, sludge contamination and heavy rainfall events, the project was completed to a high standard, delivering a reliable containment solution and restoring the pond's operational performance.
